The people in my life
a cast of... err, tens.
After reading other people's journals and the threads on 3wa, I decided it was time to add a cast page so readers could look up people I mention in entries without having to guess, so here it is.
Family
Mum and Dad
My parents are great people. My mum is a teacher and my dad is an engineer. they work tirelessly to keep me at uni. They live in The Midlands, which is where I go back to when I;m not here in London.
Lisa
My sister, currently doing her A-levels at school. Has curly hair, which means she likes Curly Wurlys, obviously. She wants to be a forensic scientist or something.
Luke
My brother. The ginger haired one in the middle. We sometimes think that mum took home the wrong baby since he's so different to my sister and I. He has some redeeming qualities however. Famous for putting only £2.50 worth of petrol into the car at any one filling.
Duke
What more is there to say? Update: As of October 2002, Duke has gone to the great gig in the sky.
Significant Others
None
Friends
Gemma
Gemma, also known as Mrs Jelly Badger Crumble (or combinations thereof), is my newest friend. Perhaps I should say rediscovered friend, since I have known of her for several years now, I just never took the time to get to know her or exchange more than a few words. I'm very glad I have now, though, since she is a fantastic person to know. She also makes very good cups of tea - an essential skill of any good friend.
Denise
Denise and I have taken a very long and convoluted road to end up where we are today. I first met her two over years ago, but she was attached at the time, then she was single but I'd started dating, then we were both single and started dating, now we're both single again. You can read her journal here. She's awesome. My friend Anna asked me the other night what Denise looked like and I replied "Liv Tyler..... no, really". She's like a hotter version of Liv Tyler. There's no end to this roller coaster ride, it seems.
Zabeen
beeni, beenmiester, the bean, beeni-weenie-woo and so on. My oldest and best friend. I've known her since way back in 1992. We went to school together and we were in the same classes for 6 years. She's now studying at Imperial College on the posh side of London doing a PhD. Her long term goals involve marrying both Noah Wyle and Nicolas Brendan and taking over the world with spicy bean burgers and lemon grass soup.
Renata
I've known Renata as long as beeni and she was the one who spawned the name jo_ham, for which I'll be eternally grateful. She's at uni in Leicester now and plans to turn the whole world purple and possibly marry Robbie Williams.
Miles
Miles is the driving force behind Affixxius Productions along with Tim. For some reason he offered me a job in the company and I've been reducing productivity ever since. I still haven't managed to teach him to rail on the move in Team Arena, but he's a very good shot when standing still. He splits his time between Affixxius and studying at Christ Church, Oxford.
Tim
Tim was the original other half of Affixxius before they let their standards drop and started admitting reprobates like me. Tim and I share the camerawork and other tasks like making the tea.
Rosie
Rosie is one of those girls who you can't help but feeling cheerful when she's around. She has a fun energy that spreads to everyone she talks to. She's the first person on our course to land a job, which is fantastic. She'll probably kill me for mentioning that her pigtails are ace, since she thinks they're "really silly". Despite this mysterious silliness, she wears them almost every day.
Lucy
Lucy is a level-headed engineer who not only calls a spade a spade, but will back it up with paperwork. I think I like her so much because I can see a side of me that I would like to be more vocal in her personality. Consequently, I value her opinion a lot.
Will
Great bloke from Romford who I know from Queen Mary. He's moved to Loughborough now to do a PGCE after finishing his enginneering degree. It is hard to determine just what made the two of us decide to lose our minds and take up teaching.
Emily
Proving that cool people really do live in Pittsburgh, Emlette has a journal that hit the 5 year mark not long ago. Em visited me in the summer, making her one of the few people to actually see my place at Warren Road. She has the most amazing dress sense of anyone I've ever met.
This page is in draft. If you think you should be here (and really, anyone who knows me can be on it) email me and I'll put you on. I'd like to add more people to it so get emailing! Feedback is always appriciated.
